Alliance Bank Business Outreach Center: An EDA University Center
The Alliance Bank Business Outreach Center (ABBOC) was founded in 1999 and re-invigorated with generous support from Alliance Bank in 2012. ABBOC comprises the outreach service units of Northern Arizona University–The W. A. Franke College of Business and serves over 10,000 individuals annually throughout Arizona. Each of these well respected entities came together with the purpose of pooling their professional expertise into a strong, collaborative team. As this union evolved, the mission of ABBOC was established: to enable Arizona’s rural, tribal, and northern business communities to succeed by delivering training, information, technical assistance, and support services.
ABBOC provides high-quality business-related training, education, consulting, and information resources to individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, tribes, and government agencies throughout Arizona’s rural and northern communities.

- Census Data Requests, as ABBOC is a State Data Center Affiliate
ABBOC is an Arizona State Data Center Affiliate under the State Data Center (SDC) Program, one of the U.S. Census Bureau's longest and most successful partnerships. SDC affiliates are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the island areas. The SDC affiliates program was created in 1978 to make data available locally to the public through a network of state agencies, universities, libraries, and regional and local governments. ABBOC serves as an affiliate for Northern Arizona, and provides census analysis on request. Most analysis requests are free of charge, however, analysis involving advanced programming or that require PUMS micro data samples is carried out on a time-cost basis. In 2012, ABBOC received a 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration to become one of a select number of “University Centers,” and the only EDA-supported University Center in the State of Arizona.
