Dr. Wade Rousse

Interim Director of the Alliance Bank Business Outreach Center

Dr. Wade Rousse has over 20 years of combined experience in industry, government, and academia. He spent the first part of his career in the private sector in the marine transportation industry. In over a decade, he worked his way to becoming a partner at Maritime Logistics, and eventually led a successful effort to sell the company.

After advancing his academic degree, Dr. Rousse was on staff at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Initially he served as an Economic Outreach Specialist, and from there moved into the Financial Markets Group as a Policy Research Specialist. During this time, he was also a Visiting Lecturer of Economics at the University of Illinois – Chicago.

After leaving the Fed, Dr. Rousse was the principal of a registered Investment Advisory firm. In addition, he spent a year in Prescott, Arizona as a visiting assistant professor of economics at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Currently, he is an assistant professor of practice in economics at Northern Arizona University-The W.A. Franke College of Business, and interim director of the Alliance Bank Business Outreach Center.

Dr. Rousse is a former member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He is a current member of the American Economic Association, the Western Economic Association International, and the Financial Management Association International. He holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from the University of Illinois – Chicago as well as an MBA from the University of New Orleans.
