The W. A. Franke College of Business is comprised of the Business Division and the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM). The college received a $25 million dollar gift in 2007 from Mr. William A. Franke, former CEO of America West Airlines and managing partner of Indigo Partners, a private investment firm, and was subsequently named for Mr. Franke. The college hosts nearly 3,000 students in its two modern facilities.

The Business Division has approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students and offers a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Computer Information Systems, Business Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing. The Master of Business Administration program offers tracks in Accounting and Management. The FCB offers many certificates that cross the HRM/Business Division.

The Business Division is a non-departmentalized college unit. Academic areas are run by Area Coordinators who perform several of the functions of Department Chairs. Other functions typically completed by Department Chairs are done at the college level under the direction of the Dean and the Associate Dean. The non-departmentalized nature of the Business Division assists in interdisciplinary teaching and research. The business building was completed in 2006 and is a LEEDS Gold certified building.

The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management has approximately 900 students with majors in Hotel and Restaurant Management and International Hospitality Management. The school is run by an Executive Director who reports directly to the Dean of the FCB. The HRM building was renovated and expanded in 2011 and hosts a state-of-the-art kitchen facility.
