Daniel J. Goebel (Ph.D., University of South Florida) is Dean and Professor of Marketing in the W. A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University. His research interests include investigating cross-functional relationships and their impact on achieving marketplace objectives, sales force performance issues from both the salesperson and sales manager perspective, and marketing judgment and decision making. Dr. Goebel’s research is published in the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Business to Business Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Risk Education, Journal of Managerial Finance, Journal of Marketing Development and Competitiveness, Atlantic Marketing Journal and several national and regional conference proceedings. Dr. Goebel’s teaching interests include strategic marketing management at the undergraduate and MBA level, professional selling, and sales management. He received several teaching awards including the Academy of Marketing Science Lamb, Hair, and McDaniel Outstanding Marketing Teacher Award, the Illinois State University Manahan Family Award for Teaching Excellence in Business, and the Illinois State University Outstanding MBA Professor Award. Previous to his current position, Dr. Goebel was Associate Dean and Professor of Marketing at the Illinois State University College of Business. Prior to entering academe, he obtained ten years of industry experience with Fortune 500 companies.
