Evolution of the TEDL Quarterly Meetings

On Wednesday, March 2, 2016, Northern Arizona University-The W. A. Franke College of Business (FCB) Center for American Indian Economic Development (CAIED) hosted Tribal leaders, Tribal economic directors, and Tribal education directors of the surrounding tribes at the Tribal Leadership Education Summit. This half-day, interactive forum provided an opportunity to listen to issues of importance to the tribes, gain valuable insights, make contacts, and learn about resources for tribes and tribal entities engaged in higher education and economic development programs. Presentations by the director of CAIED, NAU’s special assistant on Native American Affairs, NAU Native American Student Services (NASS), NAU Native American Cultural Center (NACC), and the NAU department of Applied Indigenous Studies (AIS) kicked off the event, giving tribes a brief summary of what NAU is actively doing for tribes.
