NAU’s accelerated MBA Program allows students to save on time and expense by completing the degree in 10-months. As an MBA student, you’ll be eligible for a variety of financial aid programs and financing options. For the MBA Class of 2013, approximately 90% of the students received some form of assistance, with most students using a combination of programs to cover their expenses.
Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP)
Tuition assistance is available for out-of-state students from 15 Western Region US States. NAU is the only university in the 15 WRGP states that offers assistance for an MBA program. For more information, please visit the NAU Graduate College website HERE.
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available on a competitive basis to admitted MBA students with a demonstrated record of excellence both in the classroom and in the workplace. Graduate assistantships are ten hour per week paid positions. For the 2012-2013 academic year, the award value was approximately $8,367 for resident students and $19,460 for non-resident students
Other types of graduate assistantships are occasionally available for students to work in various university offices and programs or as residence hall directors. Stipends vary with the duties and time requirements associated with the assistantship. MBA students are not permitted to work more than 10 hours per week due to the rigors of the MBA program. Check the Financial Aid, Residence Life, and Graduate College websites for more information regarding graduate assistantships outside the MBA Program.
A limited number of scholarships in the form of in-state and out-of-state tuition waivers are available each year as well; these require no specific work from the student and are allocated on a university-wide competitive basis.
The MBA Program offers a limited number of private donor scholarships. Scholarship amounts and criteria are subject to change each year. Please refer to the MBA office for additional information about scholarships.
MBA Program Fee Aid
A portion of the MBA Program Fee is reserved for aid to admitted MBA students each year. In order to be eligible for aid, students must be US citizens and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline for completion varies; please refer to the MBA Program office for additional information.
NAU has a very active veteran's department and has the distinction of being recognized as a military friendly school. Tuition assistance for military personnel is available through the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance Program. Additional information can be found at Veteran Affairs HERE.
If you are an international student who is neither a dual U.S. citizen nor a U.S. permanent resident, we encourage you to investigate all sources of funding within your home country, including government and private scholarships and loans.
