Alliance Bank Renews Funding of FCB’s Business Outreach Center
In summer 2015, the Alliance Bank of Arizona renewed their funding for FCB’s Alliance Bank Business Outreach Center (ABBOC). The Center houses the NAU Road Scholar program, Arizona Hospitality Research & Resource Center (AHRRC), Arizona Rural Policy Institute (RPI), and the Center for American Indian Economic Development (CAIED).
Sherri Slayton ('85 FIN), executive vice president of Alliance Bank, became involved in the Center when Wayne Fox, assistant dean and ABBOC director, reached out to her in 2012. The three-year partnership was renewed for another three years and consists of a $50K gift each year to the Center, which largely goes to sponsoring their annual Economic Outlook Conference, among other programs.
“What makes this really meaningful to me is that Sherri is an FCB graduate who has had an outstanding career in finance,” Fox said.
Named one of the most influential women in Arizona businesses by AZ Business Magazine for 2015, Slayton is a great representative of FCB and the ABBOC.
Furthering her involvement in the Center, she and other members of Alliance Bank will be attending the upcoming Economic Outlook Conference on Thursday, November 12, 2015 which will feature William A. Franke, managing partner of Indigo Partners, LLC, as keynote speaker.
