The main event of Career Week in the FCB was Career Exploration Day. Over 70 companies showed up on Thursday, February 26, 2015 to talk to business students about their company's available job opportunities. Positions included technology specialists, salespeople, recruiters, bank tellers, and more.

“Right now we’re looking for people with technology development knowledge,” said Daniel Moreno, one of GM’s NAU representatives and FCB alumnus (‘14).

He met with interested students as they stopped by and handed over their resumes.

“It’s fun for me because I was on the other side of the table less than a year ago,” he said.

Rush Enterprises, the largest truck dealership in the country, hoped to talk to students in the management program.

“We’ve gotten some really good resumes,” said David Heise, manager for the Flagstaff location.

No matter what major students were working towards though, there was a company to match their interest. Interviews could also be set up if employers felt they’d be a good fit and wanted to talk further.

Nicholas Garaver, a senior finance student, prepared to start his career after graduation in May by stopping by a number of tables.

“I’ve thought about postponing joining the 'real world' by going to law school, but I’m excited to find a good job,” he said.

Career Exploration Day offers students a great opportunity to explore many possible options for their careers.
