Quinnipiac G.A.M.E. VII Forum 2017
Four FCB students were accompanied by Matt Haertzen, senior lecturer of finance, to New York City for the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) VII Forum. The four hard-working students were Lauren Gerber-Manning, Heather Craig, Jack Poupore, and Riley Coniglio, all of whom were hand-selected for the trip.
The two-day event provided an opportunity for students to interact with industry leaders and learn the best practices in investment management.
On Day One, speakers from Bloomberg News, money management firms, executives and CEO's, economists, and analysts spoke to a crowd of about 1,500 students.
Day Two included breakout sessions with speakers about more specific topics. “The session I admired most was the options trading,” said Coniglio. “I learned about the options market and general trading strategies.”
Some highlights from this weekend include an event that hosted over 1,500 participants; represented 45 countries; and included 160 colleges and universities.
“Overall, New York was a very fun experience, and I hope NAU continues to send students to this conference,” said Coniglio.
The students enjoyed their experience in New York, and have a new love for the world of finance.
